Is a suspension kit a legal GVM upgrade?
No. An ordinary suspension kit is not sold as a legal South African GVM upgrade, and Australian ratings or approvals do not transfer to South Africa.
What counts as constant rear load?
Equipment carried continuously — a canopy, tray, drawers, replacement tank or batteries — rather than occasional passengers or luggage.
How much lift should I choose?
Enough for the clearance and load you need, and no more. Larger lifts require more supporting components and change geometry, so the target is agreed up front.
Do I need a wheel alignment afterwards?
Yes. Any lift or spring change alters geometry, so an alignment and final inspection are part of the process.
How long does a suspension fitment take?
Workshop time depends on the vehicle, the exact products and whether supporting parts are required. We confirm the booking length in writing with the quote before the vehicle comes in.
